After attending and graduating from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy in March 2008, Lisa Metoyer and Melisa Villegas' shared interests in animals, touch therapy, and overall wellness fueled their desire to create Transitions Therapy in June 2008.
Melisa Villegas ~ In My Own Words
“My passion for the healing arts began long ago. My mother’s nurturing touch helped me understand the power of touch therapy. As I got older, I realized that I instinctively, and quite literally, “reached out” to friends and family. I discovered that a hug or a gentle pat on the shoulder could have enormous healing ability. I set out to pursue a career that would embrace the essence of that energy, which led me to massage therapy. I already possessed a passion for the medical field, anatomy and movement/dance /altenative therapies, so the transition into massage therapy was very natural for me.”

Lisa Metoyer ~ In My Own Words
"My journey began in my 20’s when I became interested in holistic medicine, the herbs and tonics, Chinese medicine and the martial arts. As a dancer, I know and understand the importance of stretching, rest, and recovery. I do not like to see people in pain, and now I can help. I’m intuitive and energetic in my work. My passion lies in the fulfillment of knowing that I’ve helped you feel better. My objective is to use my talents as a LMT to help facilitate the well being and health of individuals whose lives I have the privilege to touch."
